About Cory Amron
Ms. Cory Amron is currently the President of Women Lawyers On Guard, a national network of women and men, harnessing the power of the law to protect and defend equality, justice and equal opportunity for all. She has actively worked on women’s rights, diversity issues, enhancing legal awareness of the public throughout her 40 years of legal career.
Ms Amron was the intellectual property partner from Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP. She was the second Chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) Commission on Women in the Profession. She worked on the issue of sexual harassment in the legal profession before, during and after Anita Hill testified before the Senate at Clarence Thomas’ confirmation hearing in 1991. She was a member of the ABA Commission on Domestic Violence, the MacCrate Task Force on Law Schools and the Profession, ABA President’s Advisory Council on Diversity, the Standing Committee on Public Education and the Chair of the ABA Gavel Awards Committee. She is a Past Chair of the American Bar Foundation Fellows, D.C. Chapter and has held numerous positions in the Women’s Bar Association of the District of Columbia. She was named a Star of the Bar by the WBA in 2003 and received the WBA’s Women Lawyer of the Year Award in 2004. She is a graduate of Harvard Law School.
About Corrine Parver
Corrine Propas Parver is the Vice President of Women Lawyers On Guard Action Network, a national network of women and men advocating to protect and defend equality, justice and equal opportunity for all. She recently served as Co-Chair of the Women Lawyers On Guard Committee responsible for developing, deploying, and drafting “Still Broken”- the research results and Report of its nationwide, experiential Survey on Sexual Harassment and Misconduct in the Legal Profession.
Ms Parver is a former partner and head of the Health Law Services Practice at the Washington, D.C., law firm Dickstein Shapiro. After retiring from the law firm in 2004, she designed the Health Law and Policy Project for American University Washington College of Law, established the LL.M. Program on Law and Government’s health law specialization, and expanded the law school’s health law curriculum, including the annual summer Health Law and Policy Institute, which she established in 2008. Ms. Parver currently is also the Secretary-Treasurer of the Holy Cross Health Foundation Board of Trustees.
She has extensively published, testified before Congressional Committees, and lectured in the United States and Canada on health care topics during her career.
