Forest Bathing and Hike

Saturday, March 7, 2026
11:00 AM - 1:00 PM CT

Barton Creek Greenbelt Trailhead
2212 William Barton Drive, Austin, TX 78746

What is forest bathing? It’s taking time to unwind and reconnect with nature, IN nature. By spending time outdoors, you can, according to science:

  • Increase energy

  • Reduce stress, anxiety and depression

  • Bolster immune system

  • Improve parasympathetic response

  • Sleep better

  • Upgrade cardiovascular health

Shinrin-yoku, “forest bathing,” is backed by impressive research: time in nature increases NK (natural killer) cell activity significantly (think: colds and cancer resilience!) It also measurably decreases stress levels like cortisol. It offers simple delight in the present moment, plus, it’s fun!

We’ll hike, and pause for contemplation at several spots, to maximally absorb the beauty.

Led by mindfulness teacher and author, Kelly Corbet, MPP (kellycorbet.com), this gathering is open to female Harvard alumni and alumni who identify as women.

Please join us for community-making, cell-improving, and joy. Email kelly@kellycorbet.com to let us know you’ll be forest bathing with us!

Cost: Free!

Zone Chat: How to Zig When Others Zag - The Invisible Inflection Points That Create a Career of Meaning

Wednesday, February 18, 2026
7:00 PM - 8:00 PM EST
Via Zoom

Presented by Kiron Chandy, Founder & Executive Director of Consult Your Community - a national workforce development nonprofit she started in college that has scaled nationwide, mobilizing 1.9 million hours of free business support for small businesses owned by immigrants, women and minorities in 21 cities, while helping college students and early-career talent build workforce-ready skills.

Kiron holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from Harvard University and explores the intersection of artificial intelligence, urban design, and public policy.

With over a decade of experience as a strategist and advisor to senior executives at companies like Google and PwC and public sector leaders like the Mayor of Turin, she specializes in building data-driven organizations and shaping narratives around emerging tech across the private and public sector.

Kiron’s career has unfolded through intentional zig-zags across sectors. Along the way, she adopted one guiding principle: try to do one thing every year that you think might be impossible.

This talk invites you to realign ambition, risk, and timing with your sense of purpose. It also invites you to trust that curiosity and courage compound in ways we often only see in retrospect.
